Group Programs into Mac-type Stacks

One of the coolest features of Mac computers is that it can stack its files and programs just above the Dock. Stacks don’t only make the Mac interface very pleasing to the eye, it also contributes to better file management. If you only have a PC, you can still apply the stack feature by using the 7stacks software.

The current Apple solution to the dropped call problem is to give a free case or bumper (your choice) to absolutely everyone who has bought an iPhone 4, or buys one before September 30. The time is ticking for those of us who bought iPhone 4 before July 23—we only have until August 22 to request a free case

Copy Music from an iPod or iPhone to a PC the Easy Way

While it is pretty easy to copy music onto an iPod or iPhone, Apple restricts its customers from downloading music from an iPod/iPhone to a PC. Once the files are on the device, they are stuck—unless you decode the Apple file structure and rename all the garbled files, which is a great amount of work.

Silence Unwanted Calls on the iPhone

For those who have not noticed, there is no easy way to block a specific incoming caller with an iPhone. AT&T offers call blocking service in some areas for an extra $5 per month, but at present, not everyone is covered by this service

As we discussed previously, there are many benefits to iOS 4 , most notably the ability to multitask, though Apple recently decided to only endow this capability to 3GS users (and iPhone 4 users, of course). Apple’s iTunes, Microsoft’s Windows Media Player, and Easy CD-DA Extractor are a sample of the more widely distributed CD ripping software. Some applications of this nature have a MP3 conversion function, blended in with a host of other functions. At times though, you may want software that has a simple approach to this type of operation. Accord CD Ripper Free ( found here ) offers up a straightforward rip to MP3 utility that is easy to operate, free to use, and compatible with the latest versions of Windows. While the default settings can satisfy the average audiophile, there are extra options, such as adjusting the sampling frequency and bit rate, for those with more particular digital tastes. Though there are upgraded versions of Accord CD Ripper available for purchase (if one desired a larger number of digital audio file output formats, for example; the free version covers only WAV and MP3), the free distribution will be the focus here

5 apps to watch TV on the iPhone

I recently got an iPhone 3GS and I can’t stop watching TV shows and movies on it! It’s just plain addicting. Now when I say watching TV on the iPhone, it means either watching live TV or watching pre-recorded stuff. If you want to watch true live TV on your iPhone, there are a few apps out there, but they only work over WiFi, not 3G.
