We leverage on the data stored in a typical PHR and equip such with environmental and sensor data that enable us to monitor and analyze an individual’s habits. Sharing habits and advices with doctors and friends allows them and the individual to become wellness co-producers and leads to a PHLR that is indeed useful to the individual maintaining it.

In the telehealth domain caregiver networks are used to provide support to the patient in the community, often through the medium of a Personal Health Record (PHR). Current PHR systems are typically centralised where data and services are delivered through a single integrated data store which (i) limits choice, (ii) is a fixed solution, and (iii) forces providers to conform to a specific data interface. We propose delivering telehealth services using trusted online social networks to manage the caregiver network, and a virtual PHR through the use of distributed widgets acting as interfaces to data and functionality on the web
