How To Build A PC: Setting Jumpers and First Boot
Now that we’ve gotten all of the major parts and components installed for our custom PC build, there are a couple of final steps that need to be done before we can boot up the computer and start installing an operating system. Setting Jumpers The number of jumpers that you will need to set will depend on a couple of different factors, but usually, what type of case you decided to use for your build will play a major role. Most commonly, jumpers will need to be wired so that the power button on the front of the computer works, any case and activity lights work, and for front side USB ports, etc… Jumpers are a bit different than any other wiring we have done thus far, because jumpers are not clearly marked on the board and are more difficult to work with.
