In the telehealth domain caregiver networks are used to provide support to the patient in the community, often through the medium of a Personal Health Record (PHR). Current PHR systems are typically centralised where data and services are delivered through a single integrated data store which (i) limits choice, (ii) is a fixed solution, and (iii) forces providers to conform to a specific data interface. We propose delivering telehealth services using trusted online social networks to manage the caregiver network, and a virtual PHR through the use of distributed widgets acting as interfaces to data and functionality on the web
